• Question: Why do you want find out what happens when the stars come out

      Guessing you mean go out? Th main reason is that when we look at the ruins of planets we can see what they’re made of. This is the only way we have to tell what planets around other stars are made of- are all planets made of the same things (Iron, Silicon, Magnesium, Oxygen etc) as the Earth, or are they different? An important question we can answer is how common water is, which is a key ingredient for life.
