If I didn’t have to think about the journey times, then Saturn. A grand tour of the moons! We’ve found some great stuff out there. Titan, Saturn’s largest moon, has an atmosphere thicker than the Earth’s and has a water cycle- expect instead of water, it has methane rain! Enceladus, another moon, is covered in ice, and has huge geysers spraying out of its south pole.
I would love to go to Mars! I have been working on modelling some of the valleys on Mars – they are massive and were made by huge floods, bigger than any on Earth. We think they were produced by big explosions of water from under the surface, produced by the build up of great pressure. As there was once liquid water on Mars I am pretty sure we will find signs of life there – maybe simple life like bacteria, but life nonetheless.
What about you?
