      So there are a few ways to do this, basically the idea is either to force air into the lungs or suck it out. It can be as simple as a mask with a bag that a doctor squeezes to force air in (you see them a lot on medical tv shows) or a more complicated machine with tubes that either go through the mouth and into the lungs or a tube that goes through the throat.
