Today, it is expanding at about 73.8 km/sec/Mpc.

This means that a galaxy 1 megaparasec away (about 3 million light years) is traveling at about 74 km per second or 165 533 mph.

This was discovered by Edwin Hubble in 1929 and is the reason that the Hubble telescope was named after him.
