Question: how did you manage to set a moniter on fire

It was a motor, not a monitor. Our teacher had given us kits to build a simple electric motor to see how they worked, with some bits made of wood. I decided to see what would happen if I turned the power supply up as far as it would go. The wires on the motor got so hot that the plastic around them melted and the wood started burning! As you can guess, the teacher asked me to turn it off quite quickly.
