• Question: How did you become so awesome in science and go to Oxford you are my fave scientist because my papa died of cancer and you and trying to find a cure I hope you get the money and how old are you.:)

      Hi there,

      So sorry to hear about your papa. Trying to find a cure for cancer is hard work and sometimes can feel very scary because so many people are affected by it and you want to help everyone.

      I trained as a vet but realised that I love science so did a degree in science afterwards and then looked for a job. I applied to Oxford thinking they would never hire me but they did and I am so lucky to be allowed to work hard and get paid to do a job I love.

      Hard work and studying goes a long way to getting far in life, particularly in science but also luck has a part to play too and i’m very lucky to get this job.

      I am 26 years old 🙂
