I have a big book about this in my dining room at home! For many years people thought that he might have been murdered – he had a hold in the back of his head. But then it was discovered that this happened after he died and was part of the process to turn him into a mummy.
Then people thought that he might have died from a chariot crash! He had a broken leg when he died and people thought he may have died because his leg got infected from an accident. Before we had antibiotics and advanced medicine people did die from such infections quite often.
People now think that he died due to some genetic impairments he inherited from his mum and dad – he was disabled by this inherited disease and on top of that he contracted malaria.
      What do you think!?

Daniel’s right. There was actually a programme on the BBC two weeks ago about this too!

It looked like he had died from a skull injury but that was made after he died, probably to help make him into a mummy. He did break his leg very close to his death but it seems to be either genetic or a simple disease like malaria rather than someone trying to kill him. We won’t know for sure unless we can travel back in time to find out.

If you could travel back in time where would you go?

Also do you believe in the curse of Tutankhamen?
