• Question: could the life on earth desert the earth and flee to another planet if earth is destroyed.

      One day possibly. At the moment we do not have the capacity to live without the support of Earth. We would need to set up a base that was self sufficient – but that is some way off and adapt the environment of the planet to our needs. Another problem is how far a suitable planet is away and how long it would take to get there!

      Basically, right now we couldn’t do it with fossil fuels but we possibly could with nuclear bombs…. But then the question is where would be go?

      Depends how many people you want to get off. There are lots of ideas to build a colony on Mars, so that some people would survive if something bad happened to the Earth. But getting everyone off would be really hard, and not something we could even start doing with our current technology,
