I do sometimes get bored when I have to do the same thing in the lab day after day, especially when it’s on weekends and/or holidays!
Most experiments need to be repeated a number of times to make sure the answers we get are real. That can get very tiring! Though I’m always excited to see what data we get in the end! That’s always interesting and keeps my job exciting in general! 🙂
Yesterday, I spent three hours counting very small green and blue dots. The first 20 minutes were fine but it did get boring pretty quickly! But in the end I made a pretty graph and it suddenly all felt worthwhile
Thank you very much for answering me and sometimes science gets boring in the classroom because we have to write everything we need done but it all helps you in the end.
Yes, writing about all that’s done can get tedious. But keeping track of everything we do is so important in science. I once figured something out that wasn’t working because of some extra notes that I didn’t think were that important (but wrote down in my lab notebook anyway), but turned out to be the problem!
